Nissan to Launch new Sports Models – 370Z in India

Nissan will launch its new sports model 370Z in India today. The iconic sports car model will be officially unveiled in Mumbai at Pawan Hans, Juhu Flying Club. Nissan India’s Managing Director and CEO, Kiminobu Tokuyama will officially unveil the car for the Indian customers. “We plan to launch our iconic 370Z sports car on January 20 at Mumbai,” a company official said. However, he declined provide further details.
Nissan will import the new 370Z model in India as a completely built unit similarly like its other premium models like X-Trail and SUV Murano. This will be the third model from Nissan product portfolio in India. Nissan is also planning to launch its new hatchback model Nissan Micra in the country which has been specifically developed for the emerging markets.
The new 370Z model coming to India today has a 5” shorter wheelbase and is built on the same platform at the 350Z. Currently the international model features 3.7L V6 engine that delivers a power of 332bhp @ 7000 rpm and 375NM of torque @ 5200rpm. This will be the third super-performance sports model in the country after Audi R8 and BMW Z4 Roadster which were launched last year.

Nano Enters the Used Car Market

It has been only 6 months since Tata Nano first rolled out on Indian roads. The car has already entered the used car market owing to the displeasure of the owners. While some of them believe that driving Nano is below their status others have experienced lack of driving comfort. “Some affluent people had purchased it because of the craze,” said Suresh Ramnani, senior sales executive with Jolly Motors. “But when they found that it was not as comfortable as the cars they had been using earlier, they decided to sell off their Nano.”

According to YD Sood, president of Auto Friend Owners Association, people had unrealistic expectations from Nano which resulted in their dismal.

However, there are many customers owners who had actually booked the car only to resell it in market and earn a premium over it. 15 such Nanos have already entered the market for re-sale. The LX model of Nano which was purchased for Rs. 1.81 lakh is being sold in the market at Rs. 2.05 lakh.

Hello. My name is Max.
I will travel to Mumbai from Ukraine in the end of February. My trip will be about 9 days. I plan to have rest in Goa.
I need to buy about 7 fruit trees in Mumbai nursery.
The plants are: Salacca zalacca, Mango, Lychee (Litchi chinensis), Cocos nucifera, Pouteria sapota (mamey sapote), Artocarpus heterophyllus or Artocarpus heterophylla, Durio (durian) and some other.
And then I need to take these trees with me in plane (Mumbai-istambul-dnipropetrovsk) by Turkish airlines.
1. As far as I know it is too cold baggage section in plane, because it does not have heater, so I need to take my plants hand baggage.
2. As far as I know it is almost impossible to get Phytosanitary Certificate for tourist because I need Import Permit, Export License, Letter of Credit/Contract/ Agreement, Invoice, Shipping /Airway Bill and maybe some other.
One of this documents cost almost 700$.
So I don’t know how to pass Mumbai custum and then Istambul custom.
Is it possible to give some money to custom people so they do all needed documents?
And is it possible to take trees in plane?

I’m searching for people who can help to take care of this problem.

hi am new to bikes going to buy my first bike need help to buy a performance bike. in-terms of power,looks and also mileage... my choices are p135,150 and 180 and RTR and prefer suggestions with other bikes also...Am 55kg and 5 feet 7 inches. am afraid of weights of the bikes whether i could ride it comfortably . i don't know which bike suits me better?

I am buying a bike this month. I love Honda stunner for its perfect balance in style-mileage-performance;

But my hunger grows for acceleration after seeing the pulsar135; TOTALLY CONFUSED now!

pulsar135: good pickup and acceleration; can do some stunts; has racing looks; packed with new technology; and above all its a NEW bike;

stunner: very stylish; Honda engine; great mileage; decent performance; unique look in its segment;

I'll buy one of these; but i need a very strong advice for why I should go for it.

CD Deluxe Or Passion? : For City Ride and Mileage

Dear Friends,

I, infact, absolutely never rode a geared bike. I presently own a Honda Activa, and Santro 1999 model. I am in much need of a expert counsel with regards to purchase a new Motor Bike. So with out much ado, let me describe my information:

I reside at Bangalore city, I am Looking for a reliable commuter bike to travel around 35 Km/day. Also is important its mileage, service, a decent look and resale. With regards to this I had zeroed on CD-deluxe as it was decent and light on my pockets too. I actually did go to the showroom to purchase it too. But once there this is what I found:-

-People are in love with Passion, and it seems to sell like hot cakes. Two variants are available: Plus and Pro. While Plus is a proven bike, Pro is an upgraded version. Apart from new headlamp, it also sports a Red Shocker( I found that little odd wrt the looks).

1. Should I Go for Passion than CD-Deluxe? Is CD-DELUXE a reliable, low maintenance Bike and High on mileage as it claims?

2. If Not CD-deluxe, then Passion Plus or Passion Pro?

Passion pro has More Torque at Less RPM in comparison to Passion plus. After googling , I inferred, that it means good initial Pickup, and better city driving ( I think so), and slightly higher power. But would such small changes affect the Mileage? Passion plus yields above 65KM, and Pro above 60 (according to website reports). Just wanted to confirm this with you.

3. This may sound silly. But Which Bike paint doesn’t fade faster if exposed to sun a lot. I do not have a garage, and hence, the bike woul have to endure much rain, and sun. If Passion, I selected this color:

4. What are the standard Accessories I should ask for with the new Bike?

Apart from helmet lock, Indicator alarm, should I ask for Teflon coating, pad lock, any other accessories?

5. Would it be wise to go for Disc brake than Drum brake?

Would disk brake really serve any useful and significant purpose for a 100 cc bike?

6. All things apart, is passion really a reliable 60KM+ mileage (city drive) Vehicle? IS CD Deluxe a Better ALternative to Passion in terms of Mileage in city conditions?

Also
The new Honda Activa though below 50K on road, claims to yield 52 KM mileage. If passion/CD Deluxe doesn’t yield 60KM+, I would rather prefer to go a gearless realible activa

Any advice from your experience, please do share with me. I am a complete novice wrt bike. I am excited that I will buy a new vehicle, but also unsure if I am doing the right choice. Your advice and suggestion would greatly help me in this regard.

Harley Davidson has announced their Indian plans with the launch of their products at the Auto Expo 2010.

Harley Davidson said that they would start selling their bikes in the Indian market from April this year. Deliveries of ordered bikes would begin from June.

The company would have on offer as many as 12 products priced between Rs 6.95 lakh and Rs 34.95 lakh ex-showroom.

Honda Motorcycle India Ltd launched the CB Twister, its 100cc bike at the Auto Expo today. The CB Twister which debuted earlier last month derives its looks from elder sibling the CB1000R and is sure to draw attention with its headlight, the muscular fuel tank, and the short muffler. The 110cc engine produces 9PS of power with a claimed fuel economy of 70kmpl. The CB Twister is also the first bike in its segment to sport alloy wheels and tubeless tyres. Honda will launch three variants of the bike- a kick-start, a self-start and a self-start with disc brakes. The CB Twister will hit the roads in February 2010.
