Hi,

The general feeling of having a website in India, is like putting a heavy investment into nothing. What I mean can be seen below.

Nowadays every small firm will want to have its own website say mycompany.com . By this what they do is buy domain name, get it designed and hosted, usually done by any web design firm, at usually a higher price. I nearly quoted a five figure price for a 5 page static website for a very small company (My competitor quoted still more than me !!). But I dropped out of the work because, the client didn't know what they have to do with the website. They just wanted to keep it as a status symbol fr the company. I smelled some trouble later on....!!

The truth is a website can get you more than what you put in to set it up.
A simple marketing thing is to update the website with your company news and offers, setting up an enquiry and online ordering system.

A number of affiliate programs are available where the advertisers pay to you for publishing their ads on your site / per visitor sent to their sites This counts as the majour source of income --- thas what I am talking about......
