Santhosh Damodaran has produced the movie under the banner of Dhamor. Shaji is the cinematographer while music is by Sreenivas and Rajesh Jayamohan. B R Prasad has written the lyrics.

Lanka is the first Malayalam film to be shot in Sri Lanka. Much of the filming is being done at Santo Maria, a 27-room luxurious sea-front villa 30 kilometers off Colombo, owned by a Malayalee sea food exporter. Suresh Gopi plays the slightly negative role of the libidinous Saravan. How that goes down with his die-hard fans is anybody's guess. Mamta is the leading lady. She does some very sexplosive and provocative dance numbers in the film. AK Sajan directs and also does the script, while Shaji wields the camera. The film has music by Sreenivas and Rajesh Jayamohan and lyrics penned by BR Prasad.
