There was Prepaid and Postpaid, and now T24 has launched a new concept mobile connection – ‘Unpaid’ which is launched by Future Group in association with Tata tele services India.

How to get an unpaid mobile connection from T24

Getting a mobile connection from T24 is similar to that of other networks, and the procedure is same for this one too. You fill up a mobile connection application form and submit it along with your passport size photograph, ID Proof, and address proof at any of the Future Group outlets.

A T24 connection is lifetime UNPAID, is what the company claims.

T24 (Talk 24) Unpaid Mobile service – is that totally a free mobile service?

Well, the concept says it as an unpaid mobile connection, you earn the airtime credits by virtue of your shopping spend on the retail and consumer network of Future Group such as Big Bazaar, Food Bazaar, Pantaloons, Brands Factory etc.

As per the current plans offered, if you spend a total of upto 351 Rs to 500 Rs at Big Bazaar or Food Bazaar, you can get a talk time of Rs 10. The company is offering a 20% extra talk time as an introductory offer.

At Food Bazaar or Big Bazaar, you can ear a talk time credit of Rs 150 with a spend amount of 4,001 and above. Does that interest you?

T24 Talk time credits, is that enough for you?

Suppose you would like to use T24 mobile connection alone and would like to use only the earned talk time credits alone, then conclude that you have to spend a lot of money for shopping in Future Group outlets.

The maximum talk time credit of 350 Rs comes to you if you spend 30,001 or more at Hoem Town or EZone! With the introductory extra credit of 20%, you can earn 420 Rs talk time credit for now.

Will you take a new T24 connection?

We are interested to know your thoughts about Talk 24 unpaid connection. Use the comment form below to post your thoughts.

Aircel India has launched Facebook status updates through your Aircel mobile without the need of any internet connection.

How to update Facebook status through Aircel Mobile?

Please note that this feature will update your Facebook status with a voice clip with the status you update through your Aircel connection.

To use this service, your Aircel mobile number should be registered at Facebook against your Facebook profile. You can activate this Aircel service by calling the number 51555 and you will be guided by the IVR. This call is charged 1 Rs per minute.

All you need to do is dial 51555 from your Aircel mobile , select the language of your choice, login to your Facebook account through this and select the option to update your status with a voice message.

For more information on this, you may dial 121 from your Aircel mobile or dial 97380 12345 .

Facebook services available on Aircel

Aparrt from updating your status on Facebook, you can also

Listen your friend’s status

Find friends on Facebook using the voice search.

Get post notifications from friends and get alerts on events, birthdays etc.

Cost to update Facebook status through Aircel

The subscription charges to use the Aircel to Facebook voice update feature is Rs 5 per week and which is 20 to 25 Rs per month.

Remember that Airtel has the unique way to update your Twitter status through a text message, but still it costs 1 Rs/an sms, so you should now be able to get an idea of the Aircel’s voice update feature vs GPRS update.

GPRS costs 10 paise per 10 KB on a pay as you go plan on Aircel and you should be paying similar amounts as the voice updates to use Facebook using GPRS.

Which one will you choose? Voice update through 51555 or through GPRS (which is text update?)

Tata Nano, world’s cheapest car is now available at Tata’s sales network comprising of 874 showrooms and there will not be much waiting period if you are looking forward to get a Tata Nano.

Tata Nano was launched a couple of years back and company opened the options to pre book the vehicles. There was a flood of applications for the limited Nanos available for Pre booking.

The car was expected to attract many customers, but things didn’t quite work for Tata Nano as there were reported incidents of Tata Nanos catching fire. It certainly looked like there were engineering flaws on this low cost vehicle. The attitude of people towards Tata Nano changed.

Tata want to regain the the high demand of Tata Nano and have come up with a lot of ads, campaigns. Tata also decided to look deep into the root causes of fires on Tata Nano and we should assume that they are working towards it.

Tata Nanos do not have a waiting period now, and in order to increase the sales, Tata Nanos are available across 874 showrooms and without any Pre Booking. You can also get 100% finance on Tata Nano cars through Tata’s own TataMotorFinance.

Tata is also offering a comprehensive maintenance contract for Tata Nanos for a mere 99 Rs per month.

Will you buy a Tata Nano?

Cheap car cannot be a great car, you get what you pay for. Indians might have already revisited these basics after seeing the fire incidents on Tata Nano. The lesser demand for Tata Nano is a proof of this.

Will you buy a Tata Nano? What must be running in your mind while considering Tata Nano as your next car? Is it just the price?

Mobile number portability is launched in India and it will be available in all the telecom sectors soon. Haryana became the first telecom sector to have mobile number portability and other sectors will be followed. The pan india mobile portability availability is expected to be ready by Jan 20th 2011.

What is mobile number portability

Probably you might have been with a telecom operator for some time, but you weren’t satisfied with the service, network availability, tariff plans. You might have been attracted towards another network operator for the same reasons. You didn’t want to change to another operator because the mobile number you were using is familiar for your contacts and you didn’t want to invite trouble by changing your mobile number. Your mobile number was dear for you.

With mobile number portability, you can retain the same mobile number and still switch operator. That’s in simple terms.

Limitations of Mobile number portability

Suppose you are having your mobile connection in Karnataka, you can only port your number to another operator in Karnataka, you cannot port your number to an operator in a different state, different telecom circle.

How to port your number

Upon the availability of Mobile Number Portability (MNP) in your telecom circle, all you need to do is send an sms “PORT” to 1900. You will receive Universal Product Code (UPC) as a reply. You will need to submit the MNP form with the UPC to the new operator. Operators can charge a nominal fee of 19 Rs to process the MNP request and provide you a new SIM. Your number will continue to be the same. Upon activation of your new SIM, you will be fully ported to the new operator.

MNP Policies you should be aware of

You can port to a new operator only after clearing any dues at the current operator. Make sure you clear your postpaid bills.

New connections can be ported only after 90 days at the current operator. Subsequent porting requests can be submitted only after 90 days. For Eg if you port from BSNL to Airtel now, you can port to another operator after 90 days only.

There should not be any leagl proceedings pending on the mobile number you are trying to port.

We will be updating you on MNP availabilities at different circles. Stay tuned!
